Are you hiding from your ideal clients?

Do you want people to know who you are, and what you are all about… BUT the fear of being visible actually stops you from doing anything?

Being visible can feel scary, overwhelming and can leave you feeling vulnerable. Just the thought of putting yourself out there for the world to see can have you wanting to put your head in the sand. This is normal but you can’t grow your business if you are hiding. Clients can’t find if you if they don’t know where you are.

A few of the fears that come to mind when people are hesitant on being visible are…

  • Fear of judgment from family, friends, community etc.
  • Confidence. What will I look like, sounds like, will I come across salesy, cheesy or fake?
  • Fear of not being perfect
  • Asking yourself Do I really have what it takes to do this?

All of these are valid! But just imagine how your business would change if you are willing to be seen. With the right messaging and strategy, your visibility can help you grow your business into something you truly love.

So now you’re probably thinking, “ok great, now what do I do to help make myself visible?”.

You need to know the following first (so give it some thought):

  • What do you want to be known for?
  • Why are you better than so and so down the street?
  • Who are the ideal people/clients you want to work with?
  • What type of language does your ideal client use?

Once you are confident on the above you can create messaging that targets your ideal clients. So instead of filling your calendar with just more and more people that have randomly contacted you, you’ll be filling it with people you want to work with and that really want to work with you. This increases the commitment level of your clients as well as the impact you can help create in their lives (cause when you totally vibe with a client it FEELS good for both of you, and deeper work can be done because of increased trust and relationship).

You can attract clients in so many different ways but the difference with being visible is people can SEE who you are, they can hear your messaging, and get a really good feel for the type of person you are and what you offer. It allows them a small glimpse of what it would be like to work with you, plus it helps separate you from someone else who may be offering something similar.

There are lots of different ways you can be visible, like recording videos, Facebook live, blogs, personal posts, Instagram, etc. there are endless avenues. I recommend doing a bit of research on what marketing avenues your ideal clients use i.e. do they use Facebook, Website, Instagram. Knowing what they use will help you develop strategies that will reach them.

By being visible you will be setting yourself apart from others and can help you create the momentum in your business that will attract ideal clients that will move mountains to work with you.
